The VMS is usually attached to the frame of the vehicle by first removing the center console and then inserting the edge of the VSM behind the bolts holding the car-stereo. This way the VMS is firmly attached to the vehicle's frame, providing a sturdy mounting surface for any hands-free cradle and phone. The VSM is mostly utilizing existing vehicle bolts and no new visible holes are created. After the center console is re-attached, only the small 2'x2.5' flat mounting area is visible. The Panavise VMS is an ideal mounting solution leaving only a small visible footprint inside the vehicle. Most VMS mounts are located to the right of the vehicle car-stereo. Panavise type VMS is the most popular mounting solution in North America.
